Metal injection molding (MIM)
Metal injection molding (MIM) displays some advantages when compared to other production technologies. MIM technology has substantially progressed over 30 years, while the technology’s maturity is demonstrated by a growing number of components, size, alloys and shape complexity. However, complex-shaped parts may be easily manufactured using MIM process with very little (or none) secondary finishing. Summary of benefits displayed by the MIM process is below:
